On 16 September, DEIF’s iE Convert was showcased at a Chinese industry exhibition for the first time during the Nantong Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering Industry Exhibition. The event brought together companies and professionals from across the marine industry and provided an opportunity to present DEIF’s power conversion technology to the Chinese market.
A shared focus on vessel electrification
The exhibition also highlighted the collaboration between DEIF and Xiamen Increpower, a company specialising in electric propulsion solutions for vessels.
During an interview at the event, Increpower shared its perspective on developments in the Chinese marine market, including growing interest in vessel electrification and advanced power conversion technologies.
According to Increpower, operators are increasingly looking for more efficient ways to power and operate their vessels. The company also highlighted the benefits of silicon carbide technology, including high efficiency, compact design and enhanced reliability in marine applications.
Building on the collaboration
Reflecting on its cooperation with DEIF, Increpower described the collaboration as professional, responsive and efficient. The company also expressed its intention to continue working closely with DEIF on power conversion solutions for vessel applications.
DEIF and Increpower have worked together since 2017, with Increpower using DEIF’s PMS solutions, PLCs and touch screens. At the Nantong exhibition, DEIF’s iE Convert was presented as part of this ongoing collaboration and made its first appearance at a Chinese industry exhibition.
Supporting the future of marine power conversion
As interest in electrification continues to develop across the marine industry, DEIF is working with partners and customers to provide reliable and efficient power conversion solutions for changing vessel requirements.
