DEIF's history of craftmanship and innovation began in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 1933.
Today, the company is a global group with offices in nine key markets and exclusive distributors in another 25 territories.

2011 DEIF Wind Power Technology launches Avanced Wind Turbine Controller, AWC 500.
2011 More space. DEIF opens a new company office in Mexico City, DEIF Inc. moves to new offices in Loveland, CO. DEIF India opens office in Pune, Marahastra.
2011 Problem crunching. DEIF opens a 24/7/365 global support call centre in Mumbai, India.
2011 DEIF launches a new generation Automatic Genset Controller, AGC-4, and groundbreaking AGC-4 Plant Management Solutions for mega plants of up to 256 gensets.
2010 DEIF recertified to ISO 9001:2008 - following ISO 9001:2000 certification in 2007, 2004. and 1994. The ISO 9000 family of standards relates to quality management systems and is designed to help organizations ensure they meet the needs of customers and other stakeholders.
2009 Following strong growth and heavy investments in R&D, DEIF Wind Power Technology becomes a business division within the DEIF Group. 
2008 New market. DEIF India is established with headquarters in Mumbai and offices in Bangalore, and Delhi.
2008 As part of DEIF's Green Strategy, DEIF Skive installs an innovative ground water system for heating and cooling, cutting DEIF’s CO2-emissions by 3,000 metric tons per year.

DEIF celebrates its 75th anniversary on 1 June.

2007

HRH The Prince Consort of Denmark turns the first sod for a continued expansion project that includes 3,600 m² for Administration and Production and 5,000 m² for a market-leading Test Centre.

2007 The New World. DEIF Inc. is established in Colorado, USA.
2007 New product releases. Introduction of GC-1F and WSS (new static wind sensor).
2006 New market. DEIF do Brazil is established in Campinas in the Sao Paulo region.
2006 New market. Taking full ownership of DEIF Electrical (Shanghai) Co. Ltd., DEIF China becomes an important part of the DEIF Group.
2006 New Product release. Delomatic 4 and PPM launches for the marine market.
2006 Complete solutions for wind power and hydro power plants based on Delomatic 4 REC-1 and Thyristor Control Module TCM.
2004
DEIF acquires West Control A/S, gaining competences in renewable energy, particularly wind  - Renewable Energy Controls becomes a business area.
2001 DEIF opens a sales office in France that eventually becomes DEIF MEDiterranea, based in Nice, France. DEIF MEDiterranea also handles sales and support in Italy and French-speaking countries in Africa.
2001 China. DEIF Electrical Co. Ltd. is established in Shanghai.
2000 DEIF UK is established and based in Manchester.
2000 New market. DEIF GmbH is established in Bensheim, Germany, handling sales and support on the German market and in Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic and Slovakia.
2000 DEIF's Multi-line 2 series is launched.
1997 DEIF's Uni-line series is launched.
1993 New technology, new standards. DEIF successfully releases a new generation digital generator and protection system, Delomatic 3.
1990
Expansion. DEIF acquires leading Danish marine company Malling Kontrol A/S - Marine Bridge Instrumentation becomes a business area.
1989 Relocation. DEIF's R&D, Sales, and Administration departments joins Production in Skive, again bringing technicians and developers under one roof.
1987 New ambition, new business strategies. Toke Foss becomes Managing Director.
1983 Next generation. Toke Foss takes ownership of DEIF from the company's founder, Erling Foss.
1982 DEIF's releases its first integrated generator control and protection system, Delomatic (DEIF Logic Malling Technology).
1980 First subsidiary. Following a previous first investment DEIF Norway becomes a 100% owned subsidiary.
1977 New business. DEIF expands its business area to include Engine & Genset Controls.
1972 Following decades of steady growth and reflecting modern production demands and a lack of labour in the capital area, DEIF's Production department relocates from Copenhagen to one of Denmark's new industrial centres, Skive. R&D, Sales & Administration remain in Copenhagen.
1933 Erling Foss and partners establish DEIF as a manufacturer of electric precision instruments (Switchboard Instrumentation).
